Police in Hudson County say they arrested a 30-year-old man accused of purposely ramming his e-bike into a goose while riding the vehicle in a waterfront park in Hoboken.

The incident occurred on Sept. 11, when Hoboken police responded to reports of an individual intentionally striking a goose at about 5:35 p.m. at Pier A Park on Sinatra Drive, officials said.

The suspect was identified as Andrew Mullin of Hoboken, according to city police.

Mullin was arrested and taken to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he was charged with cruelty to animals and received a complaint summons for riding an e-bike on a walkway, police said.

Additional details about the incident were not available on Sunday, including whether the goose was seriously injured.
