Trunk or Treat

Northern Lehigh Recreation will sponsor trunk or treat at Eagles Nest Park, 3818 Eagle Road, Slatington, from 5:15 - 7 p.m. Friday. Costumes encouraged. Activities, games, treats and prizes awarded for the best decorated trunks. northernlehighpa.myrec.com to register your trunk.

Basket social

Good Shepherd United Church of Christ will host a walk-in basket social at 3940 Mountain Road, Slatington, from 9 a.m-2 p.m. Saturday. The drawing will be at 2 p.m. The kitchen will be open. For information call 610-767-9680.

The Slatington Volunteer Fire Department will be having a Pew Pew Bingo on Saturday at the Schnecksville Fire Company Social Club, 4550 Old Packhouse Road, Schnecksville. Doors open at noon. Bingo starts at 2 p.m. Kitchen will be open. For information call 610-767-2424.

Walnutport Canal Days

Lehigh Township Lions, Lady Lions and Slatington Lions Club, along with the Walnutport Canal Association, will host the Walnutport Canal Days Festival on Saturday and Sunday at 413 South Canal St., Walnutport. The event is rain or shine and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days.
