No. 25 Tennessee is back home one more time this season with Saturday’s Senior Day game against Vanderbilt. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time on SEC Network.
The Vols (7-4, 3-4 SEC) are coming off back-to-back losses, losing 36-7 at Missouri two weeks ago and 38-10 at home against No. 1 Georgia last week.
Vanderbilt (2-9, 0-7) has lost nine straight games since opening the season with wins over Hawaii and Alabama A&M.
“Senior Day,” Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said on Monday, ” ... a lot of special guys that have been here, stayed the course, helped put the pillars of this program together, put it back in place. And a lot of guys are extremely special, so need to send them out the right way.
“This is our last opportunity in the regular season. Need to go finish it the right way inside of Neyland Stadium. Guys need to get ready to go play.”

The SpreadTennessee football on Sunday opened a 23-point favorite for Saturday’s regular-season finale against Vanderbilt at Neyland Stadium, according to initial lines released Sunday by Circa Sports . The line is as high as 27.5 points at select sports books.
Tennessee dropped to 6-5 against the spread this season after the 38-10 loss to No. 1 Georgia on Saturday at Neyland Stadium, after entering the game as a 10.5-point underdog.
The Vols covered against South Carolina (-11.5), UTSA (-23.5), Virginia (-27.5) and UConn (-35) and failed to cover against Austin Peay (-48.5), at Florida (-5.5), at Alabama (+8.5), at Mizzou (-2.5) and against Georgia.
Vanderbilt is 1-9 against the spread this season , with the lone cover coming against Georgia (+32.5) in the 37-20 loss to the Bulldogs on October 14 in Nashville.

The Vols hired General Robert Neyland as head coach and athletic director in 1926 in hopes of turning around the rivalry with Vanderbilt. Since 1927 Tennessee has won 77 of 95 games against the Commodores.
From 1983 to 2004, Tennessee won 22 straight in the series and, at the time, it was the second-longest winning streak for one school against another in college football.
The Vols won six straight after the home loss to Vanderbilt in 2005, but dropped five of seven between 2012 and 2018. Tennessee has won the last four games against Vanderbilt — 56-0 last season, 45-21 in 2021, 42-17 in 2020 and 28-10 in 2019 — by an average of 30.8 points per game.
