North Shore, coastal communities feel impact of heavy rains moving across the area

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - As rain bands move through the area Tuesday (Nov. 19) morning, hazardous road conditions will be present.

Commutes for morning drivers are expected to be slick with the abundance of rain and higher wind gusts expected.

The rain's impact was particularly felt in communities on the North Shore. Commuters in Mandeville and Slidell had to take extra caution and avoid high water levels on the road.

There was also residential flooding reported in Terrebonne Parish and the communities of Lafitte and Grand Isle.
