Noted pollster Scott Rasmussen breaks down why he called it early for Trump

As the dust settles after the results of the 2024 presidential election, some are taking in the in demographic support for Donald Trump and the huge victory he achieved.

Scott Rasmussen, founder of the polling powerhouse Rasmussen Reports, was one of the few pollsters to call the election for Trump long before The Associated Press, CNN or Fox News did and joined the National News Desk Wednesday to share his data-driven outlook.

"What we ended up seeing, and the reason those swing states are so important, is the economy is still the driving issue. People in those states were more pessimistic about their income than voters in other parts of the country," he said.
