November in Dothan is filled with music and art

While Dothan is known for the National Peanut Festival in November, this year it offers a range of activities for music and art lovers of all ages.

Music Trivia When: Nov. 6

Time: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: The Thirsty Pig, 257 S. Saint Andrews St., Dothan

The first Wednesday of every month, The Thirsty Pig has music trivia hosted by Bob Key. He will test your knowledge of music across a variety of styles and decades. It's free to play, family-friendly, and pet-friendly. A food truck will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Trivia prizes are sponsored by Country Financial, Jason Smith, and Dee Harpe's office.

Rare of Breed Live at WindMill Station When: Nov. 8

Time: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: WindMill Station, Dothan

WindMill Station and Wiregrass Events present The Redemption Tour: Rare of Breed. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the show starts at 7 p.m.

Michael Sullivan in the PigPen When: Nov. 7

Singer-songwriter Michael Sullivan will showcase a new set of original music.

Aaron Lewis: The American Patriot Tour When: Nov. 9

Aaron Lewis, the Vermont-born powerhouse, first found success with Staind, known for their introspective sound. While the band remains active, Lewis has embraced his roots with a series of successful solo country projects. His 2022 album, Frayed at Both Ends, became the best-selling country album in America.

Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Let's Play When: Nov. 9

Time: 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Visiting Artist Series: Portrait Painting with Sarah Painter Hayes When: Nov. 9

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: Wiregrass Museum of Art, 126 Museum Ave., Dothan

Ages: 16 and up

Price: $20 for members; $25 for non-members

Visiting artist Sarah Painter Hayes will share her techniques and guide attendees through color mixing, drawing, and painting their own portraits. Participants are advised to bring their own reference photos.

Sip 'N Paint When: Nov. 14
