NYS 3rd Senate District Preview: Dean Murray Vs. Michael Conroy Incumbent Republican Sen. Dean Murray will be challenged by Democrat Michael Conroy in the 3rd Senate District.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Voters in New York's 3rd Senate District will see an incumbent challenged as they head to the polls on Nov. 5.

The candidates:

  • Dean Murray (Republican, Conservative)
  • Michael Conroy (Democrat)

    • Incumbent Dean Murray, of East Patchogue, was elected to the Senate in 2022 with 65 percent of the vote, according to Ballotpedia .

    He will face Democrat Michael Conroy in the election.

    Conroy did not respond to Patch's questionnaire.

    Communities in the 3rd Senatorial District stretch from the Sachem area to Mastic-Shirley, and out to Calverton, including the Manorville area.
