Obituary: Claire Arnelle Williams, 1942-2024
ClaireArnelle (Brosseau) Williams, age 82, passed away at Life Care ofSparta Nursing Facility in Tennessee on October 26, 2024, following along struggle with end-stage COPD.
Shewas born on February 24, 1942, in Colchester, Vt., to George andBernadette (Kirby) Brosseau, the eldest of their seven children. Shegraduated from Winooski High School in 1960 and soon after marriedRobert Foster and had two daughters. She later married ErnestWillams, with whom she had another daughter.
Clairewill be most remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother,grandmother, daughter and sister. She was always a hard worker at hervarious jobs as a secretary, and she capped off her working years asa nurse's aide at Fletcher Allen Health Care until she retired fromthat position.
Sheis survived by her daughters and their spouses/partners: Penny(Foster) and Guy Marchessault, Cindy (Foster) and Randy Proulx, andSheri (Williams) Russell and James Latulippe; and five grandchildrenand eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings,Bob Brosseau and wife Debbie, Donald Brosseau and wife Paulette,Aline Pelkey and Suzanne, and her husband, Sid Reynolds.
Shewas predeceased by her husband, Ernie Williams: parents, George andBernadette Brosseau; a brother, Richard Brosseau; a sister, AnnetteMinor; a brother-in-law, Tony Pelkey; and two infant children, Bobbyand Linda Foster.
