OBITUARY: Robert I. Bass, 83, of Titusville, Passes Away Oct. 24, Had Impressive 40-Year Career at NASA's KSCBob graduated from Titusville High School in 1959

– Robert I. Bass, 83, of Titusville, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, departed this world on Thursday, October 24, 2024, while surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on February 26, 1941, in New Orleans, LA, on Mardi Gras 'HIS birthday party' – to the late Ira and Mary Bass. Bob graduated from Titusville High School in 1959 and continued friendships with his classmates as a cherished member of the Old Dawgs until his final days.

He retired after an impressive 40+ year career at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. He enjoyed fishing on the river and duck hunting.

Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Ford; wife, Lynne Bass; brother, Herbert Wayne Bass; sister, Mary Bass Munnis; and great-nephew, Derek Rosa.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lorrie Bass; sister, Sandy (Jeff) Wheeler; grandchildren Yvette, Buck, and Lisa Ford, Julia, and Leanne Sheffer; great-grandchildren Patience and Willow Michael; Joby and Carrington Cook; nieces Debi (Joe) Frakes, Candi (Jose) Rosa, Amanda (David) Start, Ashley (Josh) Walker; nephew Billy (Pam) Cairns; great nieces Katie and Kellie Frakes, Kiersten Rosa, Emma Start and Ariella Walker; and great-nephews Jared (Brittney) Cairns, Kyle (Hannah) Cairns, Jack Start, Roman and Jonah Walker. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the North Brevard Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
