A second so-called "doomsday" fish, the rare deep-sea oarfish, has been discovered on a beach in San Diego County. For the second time this year, an oarfish cadaver has hit Southern California, this time washing ashore in Encinitas. Scripps Institution of Oceanography 's Ben Frable, manager of the Marine Vertebrate Collection, explains the significance of the find.
