COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State's offense (37.8) averages 0.9 points more than what Purdue's defense (36.9) gives up every game.

So essentially the Boilermakers have already given the Buckeyes 37 points to work with if both teams just do what they normally do. That alone might would be enough to call this a blowout in the making. Then add in the fact that OSU has been playing four-quarter games the last three times it took the field and you might get a massacre. Especially with context.

One of the games resulted in a 32-31 loss to Oregon. The second was a 21-17 win over Nebraska after a week off where things didn't look much better in a game that wasn't supposed to be close. Then came a 20-13 win over Penn State, which was an emotional win by all means, but also didn't to be close had the offense played cleaner.

Saturday is a chance for the Buckeyes to let their hair down a little while taking out their frustrations on a team having a disappointing season and is ill-equipped to stop them.

Ohio State can literally do whatever it wants on Saturday. This is by far the Big Ten's worst defense and every bit of data backs that up. A blowout is on the way. The only question is how the Buckeyes want to go about getting that blowout and how quickly they take their foot off the gas and move on to next week.

They haven't scored 50-plus on a Big Ten opponent in two years since the last team from the state of Indiana came to Columbus. They might just trip and fall into that this weekend without breaking a sweat.

After a month-long stretch of tight football games, the Buckeyes should have a blowout victory on hand with one of the worst teams in the Power Four on deck.

I think Ohio State will jump out early on Purdue, then view the final two or three quarters as time to get rotations flowing on offense and defense. I think this one gets taken care of quickly for the Buckeyes.
