ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day continued his businesslike vibes Saturday morning after arriving at Michigan Stadium for The Game.

Asked in a quick pregame interview for ESPN College GameDay, Day was asked what he said to the team pregame. He insinuated the time for conversation had ended.

“There’s a lot of talk throughout the week,” Day said. “Don’t need to do any more talking. Now it’s time to go put it on the field and let the pads do the talking.”

Also addressed pregame:

On OSU’s buildup to The Game: “It started back in the winter. You work all year toward this game. You build all season, and here we are. The plan’s been the same all year long, and we’re going to go put that plan on the field today.”

On his comments earlier this week about respecting the rivalry: “When you win, you respect all the folks who have played in this game before and the games that have been played before. Even being on the bus and heading up here and driving up here and the 118-some odd games that gave been played before. A lot of great teams, a lot of great coaches, and a lot of great players have played in this game, and it’s our job to respcet the rivalry by working on it every day of the year.”
