Ole Miss and Jaxson Dart Were in Utter Disbelief Over Alabama’s Loss to Vanderbilt
Everyone loves to witness a massive upset, even players who see it unfold in the same fashion as every fan around the country. The proof of this came on Saturday with Ole Miss and quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Dart was on a live stream in the locker room following the Rebels' 27-3 victory over South Carolina when he and his teammates realized what was unfolding in Nashville, Tennessee. The Vanderbilt Commodores stunned the nation's No. 1 team, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
After rallying back from an early deficit, Alabama appeared to be in position to complete the comeback. But behind quarterback Diego Pavia and some gutsy playcalling, the Commodores managed to outduel the Crimson Tide and pull off a stunning victory 40-35.
Dart and the Ole Miss locker room reacted as fans across the nation did after seeing the upset: There was initially shock, and then cheering was heard on the video.
Dart couldn't believe the result, and Ole Miss surely enjoyed witnessing the upset even more because Alabama was on the losing side.
