Omaha Public Library offering planning food talk; gluten-free baker now serving the public
An upcoming program from the Omaha Public Library is perfect for foodies.
"A Trip Down Menu Lane" will feature Brian O'Malley, associate dean of culinary, hospitality and horticulture at Metropolitan Community College, and Amy Mather, the library's partnership manager, in a discussion of Omaha's iconic restaurants, past and present.
People who attend the free event, set for 2 p.m. on Nov. 24, will be able to see historical menus from the library's collection, which began with a donation from Jim Trebbien, chairman of the Omaha Hospitality Hall of Fame.
It will take place at the Genealogy & Local History Room, 3020 S. 84th St. in Omaha.
Go to omaha.bibliocommons.com for registration, which is required.
