One dead after fire in Howland, fire marshal investigating

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) — One person is dead after a fire Sunday morning in Howland.

It happened shortly after 7 a.m. in the 7000 block of Dawson Drive.

When crews arrived on scene, there were flames at the front of the house. Fire crews aggressively attacked the fire.

One fatality is confirmed, and it is currently unclear how many people were inside the residence. The victim's identity has not been released.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal is investigating.
