One hospitalized in three-car crash on TRAX rail line
SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — A crash involving three cars breifly blocked the Green Line TRAX near the Salt Lake International Airport early Friday morning, Nov. 8.
The Salt Lake City Police Department said it started investigating the crash shortly before 6 a.m. near 2400 West and North Temple. Details on the crash are limited but photos from the crash reveal a blue sedan crashed into the back of an SUV. A third photo shows a maroon van with extensive damage to its passenger side stopped on the Green Line rails.
Police say everyone involved did not need extensive medical attention. However, one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The maroon van temporarily disrupted the service to the Green Line train for nearly 15 minutes. Crews responding to the scene were able to move the cars off the racks saying they do not expect any further TRAX delays.
