Operation Christmas Child to have three area drop-off locations

Operation Christmas Child, an annual project by Samaritan's Purse to send shoeboxes with gifts to children around the world, will have three area locations this year.
Samaritan's Purse has collected shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene products since 1993 for more than 220 million children in more than 170 countries and territories around the world.
The national collection week is Nov. 18-25. There will be drop-off locations for boxes in Beatrice, (Christ Community Church, 2727 Lincoln St.), Fairbury (First Baptist Church, 901 F St.) and Marysville, Kansas (The Crossing, 1164 Pony Express Highway).
