R.Green3 months ago
Oregon State fell five positions to No. 21 in the coaches poll and six places to No. 22 in the AP Top 25 in rankings that were released Sunday. OSU, as high as 10 two weeks ago in the AP poll, has lost consecutive games to Washington and Oregon. In addition, the Beavers lost their head coach as Jonathan Smith left Saturday to take over at Michigan State. This week’s ranking is the lowest Oregon State (8-4) has been in either poll this season. The Beavers are the only four-loss team in the AP Top 25. Oregon State finished in a three-way tie for fourth in the Pac-12 with USC and Utah. Next up for the Beavers is Sunday, Dec. 3 bowl selection day, as OSU is headed to the Holiday, Sun or Vegas bowls. Joining Oregon State in the AP poll are Washington (No. 3), Oregon (5) and Arizona (14). The only difference in the coaches poll is Arizona is 15. -Nick Daschel |
