Waco, TX ( FOX 44 ) — Six different wienermobiles and twelve hotdoggers travel around the country promoting Oscar Mayer products and give back to the community.

Connor Wolff and Akira Potts are two of the twelve hotdoggers who drive the vehicle for a whole year.

"We're the South team, so we have a few different states that we travel through and we just drive around and we go to a new city every week, and we just we just spread the joy. We sparks smiles," says Potts.

Each hotdogger gets a hot dog name. Wolff is known as "Captain Glizzy" and Potts is "Aioli Akira".

"I was in the Army, and my drill sergeants called me 'Captain Glizzy' because I love hot dogs and there was a picture of me cooking up some hot dogs in uniform," says Wolff. "I then took them to my guys in the field, so they gave me that moniker. Then when Oscar Mayer reached out about us needing names, I put down 'Captain Glizzy'".

Potts says this job resonates with her because she loves meeting new people and traveling.

"I love always getting to hear stories of when people come and they say, 'I saw the Wienermobile for the first time ten years ago,' and they have those amazing stories. It's so awesome to hear," says Potts.

Both hotdoggers have been to 14 different states in the past six months. They still have six more months of traveling left until they become quote "expired meat".

"Traveling around in an American icon, it's been the best job that I could have posted education, to feel like I'm needed and wanted and is making a beneficial impact," says Wollf.

Both recent college graduates say this is a great first entry-level job for young marketing people.
