Outdoor Season Ends Soon For Wayne Township Farmer's Market: See When The summer farmer's market will draw to a close later this month, before it returns to the Wayne Community Center (formerly the Y).

WAYNE, NJ — The Wayne Summer Farmers market is wrapping up, before it transitions into an indoor market and a different schedule for the winter.

There are three weekends left of the outdoor Farmers Market, which is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, through Nov. 23. It's held at the municipal building (475 Valley Road).

A variety of vendors have set up shop at the Wayne Summer Farmers Market recently, including Alstede Farms, Amazing Fungi and Greens, Bucha Booth, Clyde's Italian Ice, Doughboy on the Rise, The Empanada Lady, Hope Cress Farms, Lulu's Lemonade, Pickle Licious, Sourland Spirits, and Wood-N-Thingz.

This is the late season for apples, but there are still plenty of fresh finds in New Jersey as the weather begins to cool down. Arugula, broccoli, cabbage, radishes, sweet corn, turnips, and zucchini are among the best quality right now, according to the latest " Produce of the Week " report from the NJ Department of Agriculture.

After Nov. 23, the market moves indoors to 1 Pike Drive, which is now the Wayne Community Center .

The farmers market moves to a different schedule from December through April: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

Some other local farm stands and fall festivals are wrapping up or beginning to change their hours, as Thanksgiving approaches and the rest of the holidays are not far behind.

Also in Wayne, Farms View Market and Garden Center is closed until Nov. 22 (the Friday before Thanksgiving). Bakery orders are open online until Nov. 20.

At Alstede Farms in Chester, the Pick-Your-Own areas are open through Sun, Nov. 17. Their offerings include mixed greens, radishes, beets, pumpkins, apples, sunflower heads, and peppers.

Conklin Farm U-Pick in Montville has closed for the season.
