Immunization clinic in Stromsburg
The Polk County Health Department will host an immunization clinic from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Polk County Health Department in Stromsburg. An appointment is required. Infant, kindergarten, seventh grade and college entry vaccines are available for eligible children from birth through 18 years of age.
Flu vaccines will be available. Reminder: All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and a record of all previous immunizations is required.
Donations are appreciated; however, services will not be denied to those who have a true inability to pay. Please call the Polk County Health Department at 402-747-2211 formore details or to schedule an appointment.
Ricketts' mobile office hours
U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts' constituent casework staff will host mobile office hours around the state in November. Ricketts' staff will be on site to assist Nebraskans with their casework needs. If Nebraskans can't get an answer in a timely manner or feel they have been treated unfairly, Ricketts and his staff may be able to help resolve the issue or help them get in touch with the correct people.
Staff members will be in the area on Tuesday, Nov. 19, with hours from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Seward County Nebraska National Guard Museum, 201 N. Eighth St., Seward; and from noon to 1 p.m. at the York County Courthouse Veterans Services Office, 510 N. Lincoln Ave., York.
Believe Fundraiser
Join the fun at the Believe Fundraiser and gear up for The Amazing Race set for 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. This annual event supporting Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School & Little Blessings Preschool will raise funds for student scholarships and some fun playground upgrades.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a social hour and an online silent auction. Dinner and the live auction will follow as will "jaw-dropping entertainment with a live Amazing Race" competition.
Snag your tickets at Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Faith Lutheran Church during office hours. Single tickets are just $30 or gather your crew and grab a table of 10 for $275.
