Kevon Walker, a freshman with the Saint Francis football team, was found dead in his dorm room earlier this week. He was 18-years-old. "The entirety of the department is heartbroken over the tragic and untimely loss of Kevon, " Saint Francis athletic director James Downer said. "Although his time at Saint Francis was short, he made a positive impact on the football program, was well-liked and respected among the team, and showed the promise of a very bright future with the Red Flash. He played a Canisius High School.WTAJ reported t hat Walker was found in his room on Monday. The station said investigators said there were no signs of foul play and that the coroner's office is waiting on toxicology and pathology reports. "The exact cause is natural causes, it was sepsis, so that's what we know for a fact, but they are doing extra toxicology tests to make sure it was nothing else in place," his mother, Briana Jacobs , told WGRZ 2. "But it was not foul play. The station said that his teammates said Walker said he was "feeling ill" in the days prior to his death.
