Packers begin prepping for woe-be-gone Bears
.(WNFL/247NEWSSOURCE) – Well, it's Bears week for the Green Bay Packers.
While the Packers had the weekend off, the Chicago Bears didn't and they probably wish they did, losing to the New England Patriots 19-3 at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sunday.
The Bears slipped to 4-5 with the loss.
What's going on in Chicago since it was just a few weeks ago that some national writers were tossing out the idea of all 4 NFC North teams making the playoffs?
On the offensive side of the ball, the Bears offensive line has been like a dam that has broken. They've allowed quarterback Caleb Williams to be sacked 38 times.
Williams completed 16-of-20 passes for a meager 120 yards said that he's still growing as a professional.
Willams also said that his confidence in his coaches has not waned.
Teammate and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds said that the team has to be ready to turn the page.
Back on the offensive side of the ball (and the Bears offense certainly was that on Sunday), offensive lineman Larry Borom said the entire offense is frustrated.
New England in addition to holding the Bears to 142 yards also notched 9 sacks.
The Packers and Bears kick off at noon on Sunday in Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times thinks its time for the Bears to make a coaching change.
