Paducah man one of two people killed in crash involving semi-truck

MARTIN COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) - A crash in Martin County has left two people dead, including a 22-year-old from Paducah.

A report from DPS stated the crash occurred on State Highway 349 near Mile Marker 300 around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday.

A semi-truck pulling a trailer was reportedly stopped in the inside lane of the highway, preparing to turn west onto a private drive.

A Jeep driven by 19-year-old Shelby Carroll of Huffman, with 22-year-old Lorin Parks of Paducah riding as a passenger, was heading north on the highway.

The report stated the Jeep crashed into the back of the trailer. Parks and Carroll were both killed in the crash.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
