Part of Taylorville under boil order until further notice

TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Three blocks of Market Street in Taylorville are under a boil order due to water main repairs.
The Christian County Health Department issued the order around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Marli Brune, Taylorville's Water Superintendent, said homes on Market Street between Shumway and Cheney Streets re affected by the order, but restaurants are not.

The boil order will be in effect until bacterial samples can be taken to ensure public safety. People are urged to boil all water used for drinking and cooking purposes for five minutes before using it.
