Patriots vs. Jets Weather Forecast: Latest Temperature Report Inside MetLife Stadium for Week 3 Game

The New York Jets are all set to welcome the Patriots at MetLife Stadium, with fans expected to turn out in heavy numbers. As Thursday Night Football waits for us on the horizon, will the fans be treated to good weather in New York? Or do they have to face the adversity of mother nature that doesn't seem to wait for anyone?

Well, good news seems to be coming out from the weather stations. As the game is slated to be played in partially cloudy conditions with chances of 15% rain. The fans could breathe a sigh of relief while still packing their umbrellas for the stadium. Meanwhile, a gentle breeze will gaze over the fields of New York at 5-10 mph from the northeast. Elsewhere, the temperatures are set to remain warm throughout the evening, thereby offering excellent conditions for players.

To offer more context, the temperatures are set to remain in the mid-70s at the beginning. While gradually it would settle around 70 degrees Fahrenheit late in the evening. Covering the humidity, it would be around the mid-50s at the start while increasing above the scale of 60 by the time the game ends.

From the looks of it, it seems the Patriots' visit to New Jersey might offer the ideal weather that players would have hoped for. There are no chances of any adversity hitting on Thursday when players are set to lock horns. Even the fans could rest easy after finding out about the beautiful weather that is set to take over the MetLife Stadium. However, will it be the same on the field as the Patriots and the Jets are 1-1 going into their third week of the regular season?

Patriots visit the Jets as the third week of the NFL regular season begins As the make their trip to New Jersey, they would be hoping to get back on a winning note after their overtime loss to the Seahawks. At the same time, the Jets are looking to score their second win of the season after defeating the last week. It was Aaron Rodgers' first win in green and white since signing for them last season.

The four-time NFL MVP led from the front while throwing for 176 yards and two TDs as the team won 24-17 at Nissan Stadium. Looking at this match-up, the New York Jets don't have the greatest of records. Rodgers' team lost eight successive games against New England whenever they visited the MetLife Stadium.

However, this time, it could be different as the Patriots are suffering from multiple injuries on their line-up. LB Ja'Whaun Bentley and left tackle Vederian Lowe are both set to watch from the sidelines after getting ruled out of the action. Opening up on this face-off against their AFC East rival, Pats' LB Jonathan Jones stated, "These games typically come down to fundamentals. Offenses don't have a lot of time to put in a lot of new plays. So it's gonna be who can execute a basic game plan per see, the best."

Looking at Jones' take, the Patriots recorded 170 and 185 yards, respectively, for their first two games. While the Jets notched up 180 and 130 yards rushing. Well, similarity in their stats would mean this match is set to be defined by the smallest of margins.
