"On Saturday, June 29, 2024, the City of Lauderhill hosted a Peace Walk in observance of National Gun Violence Awareness Month. The community walk, held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Lauderhill Police Department, 6279 W Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, FL 33313, aimed to honor victims of gun violence and raise awareness about this critical issue.

The event was presented by the Lauderhill Health & Prosperity Partnership and Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn as part of the peace365 initiative. Participants wore orange to show their support and made a positive impact in the community. The walk served as a powerful way to promote peace and unity in Lauderhill." It was a very successful event.
