Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Reseda

A 68-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street in Reseda, police said Saturday.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department 's West Valley Division were called at 9 p.m. Friday to Reseda and Victory boulevards regarding a person down. When they arrived, officers learned the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while he was in the roadway, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The driver remained and cooperated with officers, police said.
The LAPD's Valley Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
