Pedestrian on mobility device killed during crash in Trent

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A pedestrian on a mobility device was killed during a crash in Trent Monday night.
Larry Morris, 76, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on NW 1st Street just before 7:00 p.m., according to a crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash report reveals Morris was riding his scooter in down NW 1st Street when he crossed into the lane directly in front of a vehicle that was traveling west, causing him to get hit.
Morris' scooter did not have lights or reflective material, and the intersection was also unlit, the report states.
No other injuries were reported in connection to this crash.
