Pedro's Restaurant and Cantina to reopen this fall

Pedro's reopening

After closing for renovations earlier this year , Pedro's Restaurant and Cantina will reopen around the end of October, according to the restaurant's general manager.

The closure is for the restaurant's first major renovation since it opened in town 52 years ago. Pedro's makeover features a "transformed space and an updated menu," according to the restaurant's website. In the meantime, patrons craving a Pedro's margarita can dine at its second location at 3935 Freedom Circle in Santa Clara.

Opera lecture

The San Jose Opera Guild is hosting a lecture on Richard Wagner's "Tristan and Isolde" On Oct. 15 at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center in Los Gatos.
