Week 9 in the NFL was another good week for former Penn Staters.

Cameron Wake won a game for the Miami. Tamba Hali was involved in a game-changing play for Kansas City.

And, of course, Matt McGloin saw his first action in the NFL for the Raiders.

Wake had five solo tackles and three sacks in Miami’s 22-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime Thursday. The Miami linebacker also forced and recovered a fumble on one of his sacks.

His biggest play, however, came in overtime when he sacked Bengal quaterback Andy Dalton for a game-winning safety.

Hali returned a Buffalo Bills fumble 11 yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Chiefs defeated the Bills, 23-13, to remain unbeaten. The Kansas City linebacker also was credited with four tackles (two solo).

McGloin came into the game when Raider quarterback Terrelle Pryor was injured in the fourth quarter of Oakland’s 49-20 loss.

The West Scranton graduate played two series, going 7 of 15 for 87 yards. Announcers Chris Myers and Tim Ryan praised McGloin’s arm strength several times, crediting McGloin with having a “big-time arm.”

However, Myers did refer to McGloin as “Mike McGloin” at one point.

Here’s how other former Penn Staters fared in Week 9.

• Dolphins lineman Jared Odrick had half a sack and assisted on a tackle. Bengal defensive tackle Devon Still was inactive.

• Raiders defensive end Jack Crawford had one tackle and a sack. Raiders center Stefen Wisniewski started his second game in a row after returning from an injury.

• Seattle Seahawk defensive tackle Jordan Hill assisted on one tackle in the Seahawks 27-24 victory over winless Tampa Bay. Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson played in his second straight game since being re-signed.

• Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee recorded nine tackles (four solo) in the Cowboys’ 27-23 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Vikings linebacker Michael Mauti assisted on one tackle, while teammate Gerald Hodges had one solo tackle.

• Washington Redskins linebacker Josh Hull had one solo tackle in the Redskins’ 30-24 victory over the San Diego Chargers. Redskins running back Evan Royster was active but did not record an offensive statistic. San Diego guard Johnnie Troutman started his fifth game of the season, while fellow offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger served as a reserve.

• Pittsburgh Steeler receiver Derek Moye played in the Steelers’ 55-31 loss to the New England Patriots, but did not record a reception.

• Baltimore Ravens center A.Q. Shipley served as a reserve in the Ravens’ 24-18 loss to Cleveland.

• Green Bay tight end Andrew Quarless and Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould were in action Monday night.
