PennDOT to hold special REAL ID service hours

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — The deadline to get your REAL ID is fast approaching, and PennDOT officials want to make sure you're prepared.

The Dunmore Driver License Center will hold special REAL ID service hours on Monday, October 21, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

For now, getting a REAL ID is optional, but beginning on May 7 next year, Pennsylvanians will need a REAL ID to do things like board a domestic commercial flight or enter a military base.
