People accuse Patrick Mahomes' mom of 'cheapening Taylor Swift's image' by donning MAGA hat

Swifties have slammed Patrick Mahomes ' mom Randi as they accused her of 'cheapening' Taylor Swift 's image by parading around in a Make America Great Again hat.

The 34-year-old popstar - who has been involved in a PDA-riddled romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce - has been showing off her support for her NFL boyfriend by attending a slew of football games.

While cheering on her lover from a luxury seat, the Bad Blood hitmaker has been getting cozy with a number of his teammates and their wives, such as quarterback Patrick and his spouse Brittany.

And it looks like Taylor's relationship with Travis even caused her to form a close bond with Patrick's mom, who is a vocal Conservative , and see past their differing political views.

However, people on the web aren't convinced that the blonde beauty - who recently endorsed Kamala Harris - should be posing for pictures with Donald Trump enthusiasts such as Randi, who has been spotted flaunting her love for the Republican presidential candidate.

In December, Taylor took selfies with the star quarterback's mom.

The pair grinned from ear-to-ear in one photo, with them even hugging each other and making kissing faces in another.

However, Swift fans have since been left furious after they saw what Randi did ahead of the 2024 election.

In a video shared by sports outlet Outkick , Randi could be seen dancing and screaming 'Make America great again, let's do it!' as she sported a red MAGA hat.

The clip prompted people to flood social media and express their dislike at the singer posing with a Trump fan.

One person said: 'This is some unsurprising MAGA cringe coming from Randi Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes' mom. These people are cheapening Taylor Swift's image too. Yes, this also includes the Hunt family.'

The user seemed to be referencing the family of the Kansas City Chiefs, Clark Hunt, and philanthropist Tavia Hunt as well as their daughter Gracie, who Taylor has often posed with in photos.

Someone else added: 'Come on Taylor...ick.'

Another user wrote: 'That is a really bad look.'

Taylor has also grown close to Patrick's wife Brittany, who has not made her support for Trump a secret as she has previously liked his Instagram photos.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker previously took to Instagram to show her support for Kamala following the explosive presidential debate .

The megastar made the bombshell announcement on Instagram after the ABC showdown in which Trump accused migrants of eating pets and said Democrats wanted to 'execute babies' in the ninth month of pregnancy.

Her post read: 'Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven't already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most.

'As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.

'Recently I was made aware that AI of "me" falsely endorsing Donald Trump 's presidential run was posted to his site.

'It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.

'I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I'm voting for Kamala because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.

'I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.

'I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate, who has been standing up for LGBTQ + rights, IVF , and a woman's right to her own body for decades.

'I've done my research, and I've made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it's much easier to vote early. I'll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.'

The I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker poked fun at Republicans in her post as she threw shade at the comments Trump's vice presidential pick, JD Vance, made about 'childless cat ladies.'

Taylor signed her post: 'With love and hope, Taylor Swift, childless cat lady.'

The Trump campaign shrugged off the endorsement.

'It's further evidence that the Democrat Party, unfortunately, is the party of the wealthy elite,' Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told DailyMail.com.

'And Taylor Swift may make great music, but she does not understand the struggles of everyday, hardworking families, and President Trump is speaking on behalf of those hardworking, struggling families who don't get the privilege, like Taylor Swift, of living in a gated community , who need their local police to be funded, who want their Second Amendment right to defend themselves and their family because they don't have armed security like Taylor Swift has.'

Taylor has endorsed before, having previously backed Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

And in an interview in 2019 with The Guardian, Taylor said she supported Hilary Clinton over Trump in the 2016 election and accused Trump of treating the presidency like 'an autocracy.'

Millions of Americans are flooding polls nationwide today to vote in what could be the closest election in history.

After an unprecedented and exhausting campaign - with a candidate dropping out and two assassination attempts - betting market Kalshi has given Trump a 60 percent chance of winning.

Technical issues have been reported in the early morning hours in Indiana and crucial Pennsylvania, where voters in Cambria County were left waiting for the ballot machines to be fixed.

All eyes will be on the seven swing states that will be critical for victory: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan and Nevada.
