Peoria Park District Approves $4.9 million budget

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Peoria Park District approved its 2025 operating budget during its Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday.

The board unanimously approved the estimated $49 million budget. Revenue is projected slightly higher than expenses.

Executive Director Emily Cahill said the powerful leadership of the board is essential to conduct the financial operations of the district in a responsible and prudent manner.

"Our parks and programming are for everyone, and we will make hard decisions accordingly and together," Cahill said.
