NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Looking for a new pet? Check out News 2 "Pets of the Week" segment every Tuesday on Good Morning Nashville.

Cypress is so happy to spend time with his people, loving the chance to get outside and bond with a new friend. Walking with Cypress is a work in progress, but with a few treats he learned that pulling on the leash meant fewer little snacks. Cypress has already learned to "sit" in his time at the shelter, and we know a good, patient home will be the perfect place for him to land. Cypress is about a year old and weighs 40 pounds. Email .

Nala is on the younger end, but she is already showing just how good of a dog she will be for the rest of her life. Nala is terrific on the leash and knows that a nice, even pace is much better than pulling and hurting her neck. Nala also gives great kisses and rarely jumps up on people. Nala is loving and just wants to make sure you feel the love, too. Nala is about seven months old and weighs 21 pounds. Email .

Lola is quickly becoming a favorite amongst the volunteer team at MACC. Lola is a big fan of snuggling and would do well in a home where time on the couch is an important part of the day. She loves to jump and play first thing, then once she burns through her energy, it's relaxing time. Lola shows her love in lots of ways and wants to make sure you know how important you are to her. Lola is about two and a half years old and weighs 60 pounds. Email .

He is about three years old and weighs 62 pounds. Mervin is a sucker for a good belly rub, and is very clear about wanting one when he flops over and gives you a sweet look. Mervin is as sweet as they come, staying calm and quiet. The best way to bond with Mervin is to get down on his level and sit on the ground with him, which means you will be in for a mountain of kisses.
