Pets with Potential: Cats, birds, and dogs, oh my!
B.Lee39 min ago
RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - This week's Pets with Potential come from the Rutland County Humane Society. Percy is a two-year-old kitty who thrives on attention and loves having his head rubbed. Staff say if he's not ready for pets to end, he'll let you know with a gentle head bump. He hasn't shown much interest in toys yet but he's happiest when he's with his people being the center of attention. Because he came in as a stray, his history with other cats, dogs, and kids is unknown. Pork, Peanut, Taz, and Precious are excited to fly to their new home. The parakeets must go home in pairs because they're bonded with a mate. Staff say they're highly entertaining birds that will keep you amused with their antics and beautiful singing. Daphne and Velma are a bonded pair of dogs looking to go home together. Velma is five years old and loves being goofy. Staff say she loves running around outside and enjoys walks, but will need to work on not pulling. Daphne is two years old and is a little less outgoing than her counterpart but also loves running around outside. They're both strays so their history with cats and kids is unknown, but they love being around other dogs.
