Phillies’ first-inning home run actually helped Mets’ Kodai Senga in NLDS start

— Mets starter Kodai Senga looked up at the sky after Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber hit a lead-off home run in the first inning. It was Senga's first time on the mound in 10 weeks, and this was not the way he wanted to come back.

This might have negatively impacted plenty of other big-league pitchers, but not Senga. Despite playing in just one of the Mets' 162 regular season games, and then urging the team to give him the ball in Game 1 of the NL Division Series, the right-hander claims the homer run allowed actually him to relax
