The Nebraska Women's Soccer Club debuted its 2024 season with a 4-1 victory over in-state rival Omaha in the 2024-2025 Upper Midwest Collegiate Soccer League on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 at Vine Street Fields.

The Huskers started the game on a strong note after an early goal from outside the box by Husker right-winger Rylee Robinson, followed by two more from forward Maram Hadi to close the half. The Mavericks pulled one back late in the second half, but midfielder Taylor Cumblidge scored the fourth to secure the Huskers' win.

"We played the first half very well, (we) came out strong and got an early lead," Robinson said. "We are still learning to work as a team and adapting to play with each other, and the win is a great sign that the team is working properly."

The UNL Women's Soccer Club secured the first three points on their debut game of the 24-25 season and moved to a 1-0-0 record in the Upper Midwest Collegiate Soccer League. The Huskers will look to repeat the result on Sunday, Sept. 15, when they host Creighton at Vine Street Fields as they start their journey toward the regional tournament.
