In collegiate club action on Oct. 13, 2024, at Vine Street Fields, the Nebraska Women's Soccer Club qualified for the Upper Midwest Collegiate Soccer League's inaugural cup playoff with a 2-2 draw against the Kansas Women's Soccer Club. The Huskers came out strong in the first half, and with a top right corner free kick from Junior defender Abby White, the Huskers went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The Jayhawks equalized minutes after the start of the second half, but a combined play from freshman forwards Tatum Vaughan and Mallory Minturn put Nebraska ahead again in the scoresheet. Late in the game, a Jayhawk long-range attempt flew over the Nebraska goalkeeper and bounced inside the net, marking the 2-2 final score.

"Despite the final score, I'm very proud of us," said junior defender Livia Ziskey. "We played very aggressive soccer but were caught off-guard with their counterattacks after we scored."

The UNL women's soccer club ends its regular season with a 2-3-1 record and secured the No. 4 south seed. The Huskers will return to action on Oct. 19, 2024, when they face the No. 1 north seed University of Iowa in the UMCSL Cup quarterfinals at Iowa City, where the cup playoffs will be hosted. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played on Oct. 19, 2024, and the final will be played later that day.
