Pine Bluff family seeking justice for dead loved one on his birthday

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Tears, laughs and good memories are what Tressa Walker and her family shared Saturday, in honor of her son Roderick Breedlove's birthday. "I know he's at peace because at that funeral when I stood at that casket the peace that I saw on him transpired over into me," Walker said. Pine Bluff police investigating after shooting leaves man dead, another injured On April 15, Breedlove took his last breath in the 1900 block of South Arlington Street in Pine Bluff. He was shot and killed less than 5 minutes from his mother's home. "He was all around a good guy, he protected any and everyone," Walker said. "Everybody's suspect because we don't know who did it." Officers with the Pine Bluff Police Department have been investigating Breedlove's case since April but haven't found the suspect yet. Family of Pine Bluff homicide victim speaks out, hopes for justice and change in the city Breedlove's family said Saturday's lantern release was a part of his birthday celebration, and his cousin Ralph Love is hoping he'll get justice soon. "Somebody knows something, and they won't come forward and bring the information we need to get a conviction," Love said. But the family is hopeful that things will change, using Breedlove's birthday to spread care and love to one another. "We realize that Rod won't be back, but there's so many others here today that need to know the message of love and love conquers all," Love said.
