Pine Bluff police arrest suspect in Monday deadly shooting

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Pine Bluff police are investigating a Monday deadly shooting that happened at Suzanne Apartments on South Blake Street.

According to investigators, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the apartment complex at 4:30 p.m. and discovered 22-year-old Taron Jerrell Dismuke unresponsive on the ground. He was pronounced dead after emergency medical personnel arrived.

Pine Bluff police identify man accused of forgery at local businesses

Investigators said 22-year-old Leon Jermaine Johnson turned himself into officers and was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

Johnson will be interviewed and then transported to W.C. Dub Brassell Detention Center, where he could face a charge of first-degree murder.
