Pittsburgh Steelers' big WR trade acquisition quiet in Ravens win

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Williams was held quiet in his second game with the team against the Baltimore Ravens . Williams, who was supposed to garner more snaps, did end up playing more in his second game with the team. After playing just nine snaps against the Washington Commanders, Williams played 25 snaps against the Ravens. Yet, that was still not good enough for a contained role, as he had zero targets on those snaps. Williams had one target against the Commanders: the game-winning 32-yard touchdown. The Steelers have a quick turnaround against the Browns, so it is a significant question to see how much more his role will grow. Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin III have struggled over the last two weeks to make noise, and Ben Skowronek ate into some of their snaps. Yet, Williams played far more in the second half than the first half, but he still does not know enough of the playbook to hit the ground running. For the Steelers, it is not much more complicated than that. Williams did not start, for example, but he could start sooner rather than later. When the team went into 12 personnel, he, along with George Pickens were the only two wide receivers, a new role for him as he gets acclimated into a new system. BETTING:
