Pittsburgh Steelers kicker makes NFL history in win over Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell made NFL history with another sterling six-of-six performance in the team's 18-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Boswell is the first player in Steelers history to have two games in a season where they make six kicks.

However, beyond that, Boswell's record while doing this is impeccable. He tied John Carney with other kickers to ever do it in a season. This is something that is generally just not done. It was Boswell's third career game, making six-of-six field goals, now an NFL record. Boswell has won all three games in which he has kicked six field goals.

Boswell continues to set the pace for the NFL record of field goals made in a season. He has 29 made field goals through ten games, and the record is held by former Philadelphia Eagles kicker David Akers, who once made 44 field goals in a season.

Boswell is 29 of 30 on the season and has been the most reliable kicker in football to this point. Justin Tucker, on the other side, missed two field goals in some windy and choppy conditions, but Boswell continues to prove that all of that does not matter to them, and he is setting NFL and franchise records while doing that.
