Pittsburgh Steelers RB sustains knee injury

E.Martin2 hr ago
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is dealing with a knee injury, team sources told PennLive. The news was first reported by Dejan Kovacevic of DK Pittsburgh Sports. Head coach Mike Tomlin said that Warren was being evaluated because he noticed he was not running well.

The Steelers do not know if the injury is serious, but he did not suffer an aggravation of his hamstring injury. He will be evaluated over the next few days. If he can not play moving forward, the Steelers will continue with Cordarrelle Patterson and Najee Harris.

  • BETTING:
  • Pittsburgh lost three other players against the Chargers. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (groin), cornerback Cory Trice (hamstring), and wide receiver Van Jefferson (eye) were others who were banged up in the game.

Warren's injury will come with an MRI. He told Kovacevic it would happen after the game, and the team would figure out what happened to him. The injury could force him to miss multiple weeks, or he could be ready for next week's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
