Plea agreement leads to 16-year sentence for Fort Wayne child molester

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 36-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced Tuesday to 16 years in prison for child molesting.

BACKGROUND: Fort Wayne man arrested Wednesday on several child molestation charges

Nicholas Bolin was initially charged with multiple felonies including three counts of child molesting and one count of performing sexual conduct in the presence of a minor. A plea agreement allowed him to plead guilty to one count of child molesting for 16 years in prison.

Bolin was arrested after a teen girl came forward to disclose that he had been assaulting her since she was in 6th grade, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Another child told police he had witnessed Bolin abusing the girl on multiple occasions.
