Police identify woman found dead in burning car at Cape Cod park

SANDWICH (WWLP) – Police have released the identity of the woman whose remains were found in a burning car on Monday on Cape Cod. Suspect pleads not guilty to Florence shooting Susan Lauber, 86, was a resident of Sandwich, according to the Cape & Island District Attorney's Office NBC Boston states that Lauber drove into Peter's Pond and up to the last cottage on the road before dawn. Lauber drove around the cottage, off the road, and into the woods, where her vehicle ended up leaning on the passenger's side. When police got there, they said the car was engulfed in flames. Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
