Police investigating armed robbery in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police are investigating after two suspects robbed a store on State Street Thursday night.

Officers were dispatched to Jax Deli at 1314 State St. around 9:32 p.m. for report of an armed robbery.

According to police, the victim said two males came into the store wearing masks and one displayed a handgun.

After obtaining cash, police said the suspects fled on foot.
