Police pursuit leads to crash in Thornton, 2 hurt
DENVER (KDVR) — A police chase in Thornton on Tuesday morning ended with a crash and two people injured.
The Thornton Police Department said in a post on X that officers were at the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Vine Street around 10:30 a.m. when they noticed a dark SUV that police said was involved in a carjacking earlier Tuesday morning.

The officer tried to stop the SUV but police said the driver fled and continued east, leading the officer on a pursuit.
The SUV was hit by a light-colored sedan at the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Colorado Boulevard.
Both drivers were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. Police said the fleeing driver sustained serious injuries that were not life-threatening, and the driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries.
Police said the 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the incident.
