Police seek help to identify suspect in south Austin Dollar General robbery
Police are seeking the public's help in identifying an armed suspect who robbed a Dollar General store in south Austin last month.
The robbery occurred between 9:10 and 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the store located at 9600 Menchaca Road, according to the Austin Police Department.
Investigators say the suspect, described as a Black male between 30 and 40 years old, entered the store and held employees at gunpoint while waiting for a time-delayed safe to open. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, blue long-sleeve shirt, dark pants, and grey and white shoes, along with a mask and gloves at the time of the robbery.
The police department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
