Police: Suspect in Bay City shooting arrested on homicide warrant

BAY CITY, Mich. (WNEM) - The suspect in a Bay City shooting from late October has been arrested, according to the Bay City Department of Public Safety. The shooting happened on Oct. 26 in the 700 block of 3rd Street at 7:42 a.m. Public safety officers found a 26-year-old Saginaw man in critical condition upon arrival to the scene, police said, adding he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police announced the man was taken off life support and died on Nov. 1. Related: Bay City police investigating homicide, still looking for person of interest On Oct. 31, police said 19-year-old Jaimari Kareem Campbell was developed as a person of interest in the case. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, police said Campbell - who they officially named as a suspect - was arrested on a warrant for homicide. Police said he is currently lodged in the Bay County Jail and is awaiting a court hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
